Hp Elitebook E402N laptop
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This appears to have an onboard 32gb SSD which is not big enough to handle updates. it has a secondary 500gb HDD. Can the primary drive be disabled to allow A new installation of Windows 10  onto the secondary HDD.  Can anyone suggest a course of action?

Cheers, John

Further to my earlier posts...foolish me!!! The laptop is an el cheapo Asus. I have HP also with wifi card problems and confused it with the Asus. I have ordered a new card fro the HP Elitebook and should solve that problem also.

A reply to my own post. Problem solved!!! I simply created a bootable Win 10 USB flash drive via Rufus. It became 1st priority in the boot order. When installing the Win 10 O/S, I deleted all partitions on the 32gb SSD, then the secondary HDD became C: drive and I installed the O/S on to it. I formatted the SSD and will use it for photo and document back-up.
