OMEN by HP Desktop PC - 880-130
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi

A repair shop recently did some work on this computer.  I asked that Windows be reinstalled.  I guess he did so using a usb key that he downloaded from ASUS because my Omen is now identified as a ASUS computer.  This is making mad as I have a HP Omen.  Does anyone know how I can get rid of any ASUS info on my Omen.  Thank you.

Hi:

What I suggest you do is to take the PC back to the repair shop and have them install the HP Omen factory image on your PC, unless you want to do it yourself.

You can use the HP cloud recovery tool and a 32 GB USB flash drive to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your PC.

Here is an info link for how to use the utility.

HP Consumer PCs - Using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool in Windows 11 and 10 | HP® Customer Support

If you have to use the utility on another PC, you will need to enter your PC's product number in the tool's search window in order to proceed to make the recovery media.

Your PC's product number is:  2HJ63AA#ABL
