Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

i forgot the password to my hp 15 windows 10 notebook. i then tried to reset it using the shift key and restart icon. it went to the blue screen with the troubleshoot option. after i clicked on the troubleshoot option, instead of showing reset your pc and advanced options options, it went straight to the advanced options, skipping the reset your pc option. pls anyone that knows how to fix  this, should kindly help me out
