Help.
I am trying to reset my laptop and it says no recovery environment and I do not have a back up copy of windows 11.
I have checked and my recovery partition is no longer there.
Is it possible to recreate it?
Can anyone help please?

Hi @Storming41,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
Yes, you can still reset your HP Laptop PC 15s-fq2000 even if the recovery partition is missing, though it will take a few steps. Here's what you need to do:
Option 1: Use the HP Cloud Recovery Tool
Since your recovery partition is gone, HP offers an official tool that lets you create a fresh recovery USB using another working PC.
🧰 What You Need:
- A second Windows PC
- A blank USB flash drive (at least 32 GB)
- Your laptop’s product number (e.g., 2D119AV)
📥 Steps:
- Download HP Cloud Recovery Tool:
👉 HP Consumer PCs - Using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool in Windows 11 and 10 | HP® Support - Install it on another PC.
- When prompted:
- Enter your laptop’s product ID (you already have: 2D119AV)
- Insert the USB drive
- The tool will download Windows 11 + HP drivers and create a recovery USB
- Insert the USB into your HP 15s laptop and boot from it:
- Power off the laptop
- Turn it on and immediately press Esc repeatedly, then F9 to enter the boot menu
- Select the USB drive to begin recovery
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
