I am planning to upgrade my SSD from 256 to 512 or 1T.

I was wondering how to deal with the Windows 10 restore, as the disk will be blank, how is windows 10 being reinstalled ?

Hi:

 

You can see if your PC is supported by the HP cloud recovery tool and use that to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your PC.

Hello Paul,

Question.  Does the process that you mentioned above also works if my original storage is an HDD and I want to upgrade my computer's performance by adding a similar sized SSD? I intend to make my new SSD to be bootable and then retain my HDD as my data drive.
