Hi Guys

Could you please clarify the difference between the usb revovery disk and system repair disk.

And if I have my system image created already the do i really need these two as i mentioned above.

My understanding is usb recovery disk is only specific to the computer that you have created for to reboot the system

and restore it if someting happens  and system repair disk can be used to reboot any other pc  using the same windows version for which its crated for. Please advise.

And if i have the system image of my pc then do i really need to create recovery usb or system repair disk  as  system image

will suffice the other two, is that correct.

Please advise on this as I am confused with all these options.

thanks.

Hi

"please advise."

NO you don't need both.

You choose what you want.

I choose to have Linux DVD's as part of my backup/recovery strategy.

"all these disks and system image is created thorugh windows 10 on my pc."

AND they all work?  You have tested them?

I have a copy of the manual for my laptop on my desktop for when I want/need to change the HDD, you may just want to print it out for your device.  But I can still use the laptop without Windows 10 beng installed at all.

My choice.

Hi

IF/WHEN the Hard disk fails you will need to install software.

So you can either have a 16 GB Recovery USB (the HP one) to reset your computer to Factory Fresh.

Then re-install all your data you have backed up, and then 3 days of MS and HP updates;

AND/OR

An 8 GB stick with W10 on, then add in the HP drivers from the appropriate driver page.

Then re-install all your data you have backed up.

AND/OR

Both methods (Belt and Braces).

Hi

Thanks for your reply  however my question was different.

My question is  Do I need both recovery disk and system repair disk handy or one is enough to restart the pc in case of system failure.

2nd question was if i have the system image created already then do i really need the recovery disk or sysyem reoair disk?

is the system image enough to bring everything back to life or not.

all these disks and system image is created thorugh windows 10 on my pc.

please advise.
