My HP Envy laptop restarts randomly and sometimes the fan is circling very fast. Everything was fine in the past and the problem starts after system upgrade from 24H2 to 25H2.  I tried a few troubleshooting tricks but didn't work.

Already make a full backup but stuck on bootable USB creation. The Rufus app can't detect my flash drive though I formatted two times. Is there any good rufus alternative for making windows 11 bootable usb?

Thanks

Ventoy is a fantastic Rufus alternative that takes a completely different approach than Rufus. It's a great choice because it changes the entire workflow of creating bootable USBs.

How it's different: Unlike Rufus, which formats the drive and writes a single ISO each time, Ventoy installs itself to the USB drive once. After that, the drive acts like a normal storage device. You can simply copy and paste multiple ISO files (Windows 11, Linux distributions, rescue tools, etc.) directly onto the drive.

Key Benefits:

  • Store multiple ISOs: Keep Windows 11, Ubuntu, Hiren's BootCD, and more on the same USB stick.
  • Easy to update: To change or update an ISO, just delete the old file and copy the new one. No need to re-format or re-run the tool.
  • Boot menu: When you boot from the drive, Ventoy shows a simple menu allowing you to choose which ISO to run.

How to use it if as a best Rufus alternative:

1. Download Ventoy.
2. Run Ventoy2Disk.exe.
3. Select your USB drive and click "Install". (This will format the drive).
4. Once installed, open the USB drive in File Explorer (it will have a name like "Ventoy") and simply copy your Windows 11 ISO file onto it.
