running low on disk space

iam out of disk space, ive already optimized everything deleted some bigger files even tho i didnt want to and still cant move things over to a external hard drive says low disk space . and need a certain amount more room on diskspace. what do i do please help... i bought the external hard drive to fix this problem and cant delete any more things, i need everythig else. any help is so greatly appreciated
