I am currently struggling with my screen dimming during split-screen. It was not like this when I got my pc, but a setting popped up with my HP support assistant that gave me the option to save battery.
It was something like battery saving or adaptive battery setting.
So, on a standard full-screen view, it is bright, but when I do a split screen, if I click on the window, which will stay bright, and the other screen will automatically have its brightness reduced.
How do I change my setting back to normal? I have tried going into edit power plan -> change advanced power setting, but I cannot see which the right section is to change the location.

Hi@SStefan93,
Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!
I see you are experiencing issues with the HP Laptop screen is dimming during split screen.
I have a few recommendations
- Update your Notebook computer to the latest BIOS from HP.COM.
- Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.
- HP has developed a new technology, called Adaptive Battery Optimizer, designed to maximize the battery lifespan. Adaptive Battery Optimizer monitors various battery parameters, including: battery temperature. battery-charging status.
