@Rizwan99, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The issue you're experiencing where one window dims during split-screen mode on your HP laptop running Windows 11 is likely caused by a feature called "Focus Mode" or adaptive display settings enabled by HP software or Windows power settings.
Here's how to fix it:
Disable Focus Mode in HP Command Center
HP laptops often come with the HP Command Center or HP Support Assistant, which may include a feature that dims inactive windows to help you focus.
- Open HP Command Center or HP Support Assistant.
- Look for a setting called Focus Mode or Adaptive Battery Optimizer.
- Disable this feature.
Check Windows Power Settings
- Go to Settings > System > Power & battery > Power mode.
- Set it to Best performance.
- Then go to Control Panel > Power Options > Change plan settings > Change advanced power settings.
- Under Display, check for any adaptive brightness or dimming settings and turn them off.
Update Graphics Drivers
- Open Device Manager.
- Expand Display adapters.
- Right-click your graphics card and choose Update driver.
- Or use HP Support Assistant to update all drivers and BIOS.
Disable Adaptive Brightness
- Go to Settings > System > Display > Brightness.
- Uncheck "Change brightness automatically when lighting changes" if available.
