Help notebook wont move from spinnimg icon. Trird all things. This is for 4 days. Cant afford to loose anything.

Hold the power button until it shuts down. Wait a minute or so before powering it on. Immediately after pressing power button to turn on start tapping the Esc key. This will open a menu where F2 System Diagnostics is an option. Tap F2 key and run the tests.

all tests passed but this did not solve the problem.  I am trying to reset computer now.  I know it will loose certain programs but I have to try something.
