i recently updated my computer to the newest Windows 10 update and it showed the hp accelormeter error. So i followed the help of another forum on this site about that issue. But now i have downloaded and started the sp78033.exe application nothing else comes up after it saves the files to my hardrive. I dont know what to do now.

Hi,

Try the 3D DriveGuard version on the following link.

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp83501-84000/sp83846.exe

Note that this is usually a silent installation and just installs the accelerometer driver and required services - you will also see it listed in 'Programs and Features' after installation.

Regards,

Hi David (and all!)

I had a similar problem as many others re the AccelerometerST.dll file missing after an update. Following the instructions found on your posts, I uninstalled 3D DriveGuard then tried to re-install with the link you provided ... http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp83501-84000/sp83846.exe

However, it seems that link is dead ... gives a 404 error.

Can you pls let us know how to access that file now?  Thanks.

Les

Hello!  o/

I get the same 404 error from the above link.

There also 4 or 5 other posts regarding this issue which all list the link:

 ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp78001-78500/sp78033.html

This link also does not work.  I too would appreciate resolution.

Thanks!
