HP Pavilion Laptop PC 14-dv0000 (9WF41AV)

Hi,

A while ago I encountered issues that resulted in my windows corrupting and having to reinstall it. After doing some chkdsk/diskpart commands in recovery mode, I had deleted the contents of the drive in an attempt to clean install windows again. The issue arises when trying to install any windows 10/11, the storage driver is not visible and when going into recovery mode and using chkdsk or diskpart it's not visible or online and no driver that I download to the boot USB from the website shows up when trying to install windows. It is also visible in BIOS. I have installed Linux mint and can confirm the drive works as normal. I am not sure how to fix it from this point. Any suggestions?

Hi:

From the information I can find on the model series, they come with Intel 11th gen core processors.

You have to install the Intel storage controller driver for those platforms so Windows can find the drive.

I zipped up and attached below so Windows can find the drive.

Copy all of the files in both folders in the attached file to a USB flash drive.

Have the flash drive and your Windows installation media plugged into USB ports.

Boot from the Windows installation flash drive.

When you get to the screen where no drives can be found, click on the Load driver option, browse to the flash drive with the storage controller drivers on it.

If you check the box, it will only include the compatible driver.

If Windows still can't find the drive, uncheck the box to include the compatible driver and try any of the ones listed.

Click Next, and Windows should install.

Thanks for the reply, just to double check before doing anything. Am I able to have the drives on the USB I'm using as the bootable USB? Or do I need separate USB for the driver

You're very welcome.

You can put the files on the Windows installation flash drive
