Product: HP EliteBook x360 1040 G8 Notebook PC (1H9W8AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I just bought an hp laptop and when I tired to start it says that I have to insert an hp email (@hp.com). I have already created an hp account with my personal email address but from what I see this is not the one that is needed. It doesn't even let me skip this step. 20231219_200346.jpg

According to the Community's Rules of Participation:

 

4d. No posts shall include instructions/directions intended to bypass or subvert security mechanisms such as lock screens, BitLockers, BIOS lock, passwords, fingerprint/biometry scanners, PINs nor any other safety measures.

 

Therefore, this topic is being locked. If you would like help resetting the password on your product, please Contact HP support in your region. 


For cases related to BitLocker issues, please contact Microsoft Support.
