hp spectre 2x detachable pc

My hp specter suddenly stopped working. It is dead, I took it to Best Buy. I was told the motherboard is burnt and it will cost $600. I am disappointed in hp. I paid close to $1000 and haven’t been used the computer very often. I request hp to reach out and help if they care about their customers. Geeks squad guy told me to buy a new one while my computer is still like new. I don’t have the money to buy a new or to fix this one. Please help.

Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
