Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a new notebook and about 2 days ago I get a drive system z what is it and why will it not show up in disk managment it has 256 MB and 192 mb free.

I just got a cumulative update at 6:00 pm today and now it is gone microsoft give and microsoft take away thanks for your reply

Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

Rumour is that this is a partition created by Microsoft as a side-effect of their Windows Update fuction.

 

Lots of folks have reported this and standard means of removing it (i.e., Disk Management) do NOT appear to work.

 

So, it's something that MS wants on our disks and does NOT want us to remove.

 

Personally, I would just leave it alone.
