@vikiandriani, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your laptop being stuck!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

It looks like your HP laptop is stuck on the boot screen after a Windows update. Here are some steps you can try to fix it:

Perform a Hard Reset

  1. Turn off the laptop completely.
  2. Unplug the power cable and remove the battery (if possible).
  3. Press and hold the power button for 15–20 seconds to drain any residual power.
  4. Reinsert the battery and power cable.
  5. Turn on the laptop and check if it boots.

Boot into Safe Mode

  1. Turn off the laptop.
  2. Turn it back on and immediately start pressing F8 (or Shift + F8) repeatedly until you see the Advanced Startup menu.
  3. Select TroubleshootAdvanced optionsStartup SettingsRestart.
  4. When the Startup Settings screen appears, press 4 or F4 to boot into Safe Mode.
  5. If it boots, uninstall the recent update:
    • Open SettingsUpdate & SecurityWindows UpdateUninstall updates.

Perform an Automatic Repair

  1. Turn off the laptop.
  2. Turn it back on and immediately press F11 repeatedly until the recovery screen appears.
  3. Select Advanced OptionsTroubleshootAdvanced OptionsStartup Repair.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Reset BIOS to Default

  1. Turn off the laptop.
  2. Turn it back on and press F10 to enter BIOS.
  3. Look for the option to Load Default Settings (usually under Exit).
  4. Save and exit.

If None of the Above Work – Try a System Restore

  1. Boot into the Advanced Startup menu (using F11).
  2. Select TroubleshootAdvanced OptionsSystem Restore.
  3. Restore to a point before the update.

Let me know if any of these steps work! 😊

Take care, and have an amazing day!
