Hi @fitness305

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

When the sign-in option is disabled on your HP Laptop - 14-fq0013dx running Windows 11, it often occurs due to failed sign-in attempts or system settings.

Here are steps to help you regain access:

1. Restart Your Laptop

  • Restart your laptop and check if the sign-in option reappears. Sometimes, a simple reboot resolves the issue.

2. Use a Different Sign-In Option

  • On the login screen, click Sign-in Options (below the password field) and try using a different method, such as a PIN, password, or biometric login.

3. Wait for the Lockout Period

  • If the issue is due to failed sign-in attempts, keep the laptop powered on for at least 2 hours and then try signing in again.

4. Boot into Safe Mode

  • Restart your laptop while holding the Shift key.
  • Select Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Settings, then press F5 to boot into Safe Mode.
  • Once in Safe Mode, try signing in and resolving the issue.

5. Reset Your Password

  • If you're using a Microsoft account, reset your password at account.microsoft.com.
  • For local accounts, you may need to use password recovery tools or contact support.

6. Check for Updates

  • After regaining access, ensure your system is up to date by going to Settings > Windows Update.
