i got this laptop in September of 2022 and since then i have had to spend an afternoon fixing the thing over a dozen times i got this thing so i could play games and do work on trips and such i have had to use it more recently and i have had issues now that weren't around when i got it ill start from the beginning one of the first issues i had was after i had used the thing the night before installed my games then after i had gotten to the hotel the thing booted into recovery and couldnt boot into regular windows so i had to reinstall windows after this the laptop went strong until probably early 2024 then on this laptop it literally just deleted its own os like it probably didnt delete it it probably just corrupted but at this point i hadnt touched the thing for months then when i use it again its just broken the most recent problem im having is a d3d device hung on any ue5 game and in event viewer it had been saying event 153 and event 13 so almost nothing had worked i have tried reinstalling drivers with ddu ive tried almost anything you can find on reddit or Microsoft forums in the past 5 year on the issue and i really wish i had returned it while warranty was still in the picture but does anyone have any advice on how to possibly fix the thing or to maybe like get the thing repaired

Hi @Flamestatus,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your laptop!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Check your SSD health
Download CrystalDiskInfo (free) → run it → check if your SSD’s health shows GOOD or if there are warnings (Reallocated Sectors, Pending Sectors).
If it shows yellow or red, your SSD is likely the problem.
Run a RAM check
Type mdsched.exe in Windows → run the Windows Memory Diagnostic → reboot → let it check for RAM errors.
Or, use MemTest86 from a bootable USB for a more thorough test.
Check for BIOS updates
Go to OMEN Support → search for your model (16-b1000) → see if there’s a newer BIOS update.
Sometimes GPU hangs and storage bugs are resolved with firmware/BIOS updates.
Clean GPU drivers again, carefully
Boot to Safe Mode
Use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to fully remove the GPU driver.
Reboot → install the latest NVIDIA driver directly from NVIDIA’s site (not Windows Update).
Try a clean OS reinstall (one last time)
If the disk is healthy but the OS is still glitchy:
Back up your files.
Use the Microsoft Media Creation Tool to create a fresh USB installer.
Reinstall Windows 11 cleanly, format the drive during setup.
I hope this helps.
