pavilion 14-b122au sleekbook
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Hi all,

yesterday i upgrade my pavilion notebook to window 10 from window 8.1. After downloading window 10 and installing, the note got stuck like forever with hp logo while restarting.

The problem is , I didn't create the recovery disc or recovery usb after purchasing the notebook and I also didn't create a restore point on the notebook for me to restore.

I'm not very knowledgeable  in things related computer...if one can help me.. my daughter need to use the notebook for her school work..

Thanks and hope to hear some sort of a solution to my problem.

Hi,

Have your daughter backed up all the data from this notebook? Take out hard drive and connect to another PC using SATA to USB adapter. Then use explorer to copy the files you need.

Is Windows 10 successfully activated and upgraded?

You could try factory reset by tapping f11 as soon as you power on laptop. This will erase everything in the hard drive and reinstall.

If the doesn't work, you can either order recovery USB from HP specific for your model or

Do a clean install of Windows 8.1 64bit using Microsoft windows media creation tool by creating bootable installation USB.
