@RIJEKJEK, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I have a few steps that should resolve your concern:
On some touchpads, you can turn on or off the Touchpad by double-tapping in the upper left corner of the Touchpad. Double-tap to turn the Touchpad on, repeat to turn the Touchpad off.
Figure : Touchpad On/Off Switch
Perform a hard reset by following the steps in the HP document Performing a Hard Reset or Forced Reset (in English). A hard reset clears the driver instructions. Your computer rereads all instructions from the drivers and software stored in the Operating System which can solve some problems.
Be sure you have the latest drivers for your Touchpad.
Install updates using HP Support Assistant
- In the search box, type and open HP Support Assistant.
- Check for updates.
- If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.
Note: If you do not have HP Support Assistant installed, Click here to download the same.
Also, check for any pending windows update. Reboot the computer.
For touchscreen:
I recommend checking if the Touch is working on BIOS (Accessed by tapping on F10 while restarting the computer).
If it works on bios, it's a software issue, update the drivers from the HP Website, if the issue persists: please reinstall windows using the recovery partition or the recovery media to fix the issue.
Attempt to run a test using the HP hardware diagnostic tool, If it doesn't work on BIOS or the diagnostics tool either, it's a hardware failure and you may need to Contact HP to set up a hardware repair service.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
