HP ENVY x360 13.3 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 13-bf0000 (552D5AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

a while back (about early-mid 2024) my touchpad stopped working but the mouse worked perfectly fine. after going through multiple support chats i was told repeatedly to uninstall the HID driver and restart so that it would update or something but after doing it multiple times both the HID compliant driver and the one under mice & other pointing devices disappeared. everything else works fine, it is just the touchpad I am having issues with

i attempted a hard reset (although I'm unsure if I did it wrong because I followed the AI support's instructions), did a complete reset (including files), tried to find the driver in the hp software/drivers section (the detection said I wasn't missing any drivers for some reason)

additionally the AI chatbot told me that since there was no 'touchpad settings' it means that windows doesnt detect a touchpad at all but again I'm unsure if it's reliable

i haven't used this laptop myself for a while and this would be very helpful if I got it fixed, thanks
