I’m trying to factory reset my mother’s hp stream 14. However she cannot remember her password. I’ve tried resetting it and it’s not working, she’s not even sure what Microsoft account she’s using on the laptop so I can’t even log on to it because I can’t reset it!
I want ant to do a factory reset, however doing this by bringing up the start up menu, (the holding down the volume button etc) it says there isn’t enough disk space! I cannot log onto clear any space as we don’t know the password so I don’t know what to do! Any help would be amazing!

Hi:
Your only option as I see it would be to either use the HP cloud recovery client utility to reinstall Windows, or use the media creation tool to reinstall windows.
Try the cloud recovery utlity first, because that is supposed to put the drive back in its 'out of the box' condition.
Here is a link for how to use that utlity...

If that doesn't work, I will give you the steps for clean installing W10 using the media creation tool.
