@bhopender, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Two-Finger Scroll Issues on HP TouchPad!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If the two-finger scroll functionality is not working on your HP device and the option does not appear in your settings, follow these steps to troubleshoot and fix the issue:
Check TouchPad Driver:
- Ensure that you have the latest driver installed for your touchpad. You can do this by visiting the HP Support website and downloading the latest drivers for your specific model.
Enable Two-Finger Scrolling via Touchpad Settings:
- Go to the Windows search box and type Control Panel to open it.
- Navigate to Hardware and Sound and then click on Mouse.
- In the Mouse Properties window, see if there’s a separate tab for your touchpad device. This may be under names like "Device Settings" or "Synaptics/Elan Options."
- Look for an option for scrolling or gestures and ensure that two-finger scroll is enabled.
Access Precision Touchpad Settings (for Windows 10/11):
- Click on the Start menu and select Settings.
- Go to Devices and then click on Touchpad.
- Under touchpad settings, ensure Scroll and zoom is turned on.
Update Windows:
- Ensure that your Windows operating system is fully updated. Updates can sometimes resolve hardware compatibility issues.
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and click Check for updates.
Troubleshoot Hardware:
- If the settings are correct but the scroll still does not work, try restarting your laptop.
- If the problem persists, consider performing a hard reset by powering off the laptop, disconnecting any connected peripherals, and then restarting it.
Check for External Mouse or Docking Devices:
- Disconnect any external USB devices or docking stations to rule out external device interference.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
