Hi,

Download and install HP 3D DriveGuard on the following link.

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp63501-64000/sp63786.exe

Regarding your Recovery Media, if you've already created a set, you can always order a replacement through HP - the cost varies a little depending where you live, but they're generally inexpensive.  You can order a replacement set of Recovery Discs starting on the link below.

Order HP Recovery Discs.

If you have any problem with this link, order them directly from HP.

If you live in the US, contact HP Here.

If you are in another part of the world, start Here.

Hi,

You're welcome :generic:

You can only use the Recovery  Media Creator to create 1 set of Recovery Media ( this restriction is to comply with Microsofts oem T&Cs ) - if you haven't created a set, see the guide on the following link.

Hi,

It was shipped with Windows 8 64bit.

But due to system errors and virus caught, i had to format the laptop and install windows 8.1 pro 64 bit.

Thanks

Hi Dani,

Unfortunately, formatting the original OS will have lost the Recovery Media Creator application - there is no seperate download for this ( even if your Recovery Partition is intact ).

At this point, you really have 2 main options.

1.  Order a replacement set of Recovery Media Order HP Recovery Discs.

2.  Here's an alternative to purchasing Recovery Media from HP.

Download the Windows 8 Image file on the following link - note that this Image file is subject to a download cap, so you may need to try over a period of a few hours before the download starts successfully.

https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B0W9PBigPy94aVJWSndyTFNFMzg/edit?pli=1

If you need a utility to create a bootable Flash Drive for this Image, try the free application below.

http://rufus.akeo.ie/

As your notebook shipped with Windows 8, the product key is encrypted in your bios chip and will be automatically read during installation.

Additional software and drivers you may require can be found Here.

Hi David,

I think I will go with your first option of ordering a new set.

Another question will be I have come across one final thing in the Other devices:

- 3D Video Controller

- PCI Device

Can you please check and advise me with the solution.

Thanking you for yoru usual support.

Hi Dani,

Go into Device Manager, right click on the problem device and select Properties.  Click the Details tab, choose Hardware Ids from the dropdown box and post back with the details shown under Value.  Do this for both devices.

Best regards,
