Formatted my spectre 360 laptop and im stuck in windows 8, when trying to update im asked for windows key which i dont know

The Windows 8 product key is encrypted in your notebook's BIOS.

 

However, the free upgrade period to upgrade to W10 came to a close in October of 2023 when Microsoft closed the loophole that allowed users to continue to get the free upgrade from W7, W8 & W8.1 to W10.

 

The official upgrade period ended in July of 2016.

 

If you want to view the Windows product key in your notebook's BIOS, you can download and install the free Showkey Plus app from the Microsoft Store:
