Microsoft Windows 11

Updated to Windows 11. Laptop is now very slow and sluggish. Product is HP laptop 10th generation.

@Kar09 -- launch the Windows "Task Manager", and switch to its "Performance" tab.

You will see graphs of the percentage-busy of the CPU and of the disk-drive, and the percentage of RAM that is being used, and the amount of network traffic.  Which component is your "bottle-neck"?

 

Also, note that any "fresh" installation of Windows will "call home" to run Windows Update. That app can monopolize your computer, for an hour or two.  Also, apps like iTunes and Adobe Reader and your anti-virus package will also "call home" to update themselves.
