HP Pavilion dv7-6b51ea Entertainment Notebook PC

this is the screen i get on start upthis is the screen i get on start upHope you can help, I have changed my network card from a Intel(R) Centrino(R) Wireless-N 1030 to Intel AC7260 HMW to gain faster speed. The Intel AC7260 HMW card works fine once installed, however, when I restart the laptop my BIOS doesnt recognise the network card and forces a stop on start up. the laptop is over 10 years old and software support is somewhat limited to non existant. does anyone know how I can get passed this issues?

Normally HP notebooks which were built BEFORE 2014 do have a whitelist in BIOS for wifi adapters. You can simply use a newer ones.  If you wish, you can use USB dongle such as  ASUS USB-AC53 Nano AC1200 Dual-band USB Wi-Fi Adapter.

It is much faster than the Intel 7260 on other machine.

Regards.

Thanks for the info, can you confirm where this whiteboard is in BIOS, I've looked and can't see an option of adding WLAN to the BIOS?
