Hello
I have a Victus 15 laptop and for some time, now I have been facing a blue screen problem when updating the operating system and drivers. It seems that this error occurs when I connect to the internet via WiFi and it seems to be from the WiFi hardware driver. Please help me solve this problem. Until some time ago, the problem could be solved by selecting the roll back driver option, but now this option is also disabled. I am attaching a picture of the error that is reported on the blue screen.

@iiduelii, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Based on the blue screen error:
- Stop Code: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
- What failed: rtf64x64.sys
This error is related to the Realtek WiFi driver (rtf64x64.sys), which aligns with your observation that the issue occurs when connecting to WiFi.
Here's how to resolve this issue:
Boot into Safe Mode with Networking
If your system is crashing frequently:
- Hold Shift and click Restart from the Start menu.
- Navigate to: Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart.
- Press F5 to boot into Safe Mode with Networking.
Uninstall the Faulty Realtek Driver
- Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand Network adapters.
- Right-click on Realtek WiFi adapter and choose Uninstall device.
- Check Delete the driver software for this device, then click Uninstall.
- Restart your PC.
Install the Correct Driver from HP
- Visit the official HP support page for your model:
Official HP® Support - Under Driver-Network, download the latest Realtek Wireless LAN Driver.
- Install it and restart your system.
Disable Automatic Driver Updates (Optional)
To prevent Windows from reinstalling the problematic driver:
- Press Windows + R, type sysdm.cpl, and press Enter.
- Go to the Hardware tab > Device Installation Settings.
- Select No (your device might not work as expected) and click Save Changes.
Run HP Support Assistant
- Download or open HP Support Assistant. HP Support Assistant | HP® Support
- Let it scan your system and install any recommended updates.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
