Hi @Aquarifishmom,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are trying to clean up your HP 14-dq0000 Laptop PC, it’s important to be cautious about what you uninstall to avoid removing essential system components. Here’s a guide to help you decide what is generally safe to uninstall:

Be Cautious

  1. System Utilities: Be careful with uninstalling utilities related to system performance, drivers, or updates. These can sometimes be essential for proper functioning.
  2. HP Support Assistant: While not crucial, this tool helps with system diagnostics and updates. Consider keeping it unless you're sure you don’t need it.
  3. Device Drivers: Don’t manually uninstall drivers unless you know what they are for and have a replacement ready.

How to Uninstall Safely

  1. Open Control Panel: Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
  2. Review Installed Programs: Look through the list and identify programs you don’t need.
  3. Uninstall Programs: Select the program and click Uninstall/Change. Follow the prompts to complete the uninstallation.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
