i ran a self diagnostic check on my dv6000 entertainment laptop pc and it say No IDE Device found what is it and how do i fix it

Try this:

  1. Disable Network Boot and PXE
  2. Back up all your files.
  3. Try installing Windows 10, you can download it here .

This most likely means that your pc does not detect a hdd or ssd. Although to be honest if I were you I would not use ide, I would only use SATA, M.2, NVMe, or emmc as those are the current modern storage devices.

 

One solution I could think of if your pc does have a hdd or ssd present is to reset your bios settings and disable any floppy drive options your system has, which if it has IDE, chances are a floppy drive option is not to far off.

i got past all that now i get this message PXE-E61 media test failure  what is the next step i should take to fix this message
