Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

whe my HP Notebook 250 G5 is switched on and the charger plugged in it does not charge tjhe battery.  when the laptop is switched off and the charger plugged in the battery is charged. What is the cause and is there a fix?
