Hi @Sanket2026

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thank you for sharing the details. We acknowledge the issue you are facing with Chrome freezing during office work. Let’s go through structured steps that can help improve performance on your HP device:

Update Chrome Browser

  • Open Chrome.
  • Select the three dots (More) > Help > About Google Chrome.
  • Allow Chrome to check for updates and restart once updated.

Clear Browsing Data

  • In Chrome, go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Clear browsing data.
  • Select Cached images and files and Cookies and other site data.
  • Click Clear data.

Disable Unnecessary Extensions

  • Go to Settings > Extensions.
  • Turn off or remove extensions not required for your work.

Check System Resources with HP App

  • Open the HP App from your Start menu.
  • Run Diagnose & Fix to check for background processes or performance issues.
  • Apply the recommended fixes.

Update Graphics and System Drivers

  • Open the HP App.
  • Navigate to Updates and install any available driver or BIOS updates.
  • Restart your device after updates are complete.

Adjust Chrome Settings

  • In Settings > System, disable Continue running background apps when Chrome is closed.
  • Also disable Use hardware acceleration when available and restart Chrome.

These steps are designed to optimize Chrome’s performance while ensuring your HP system runs smoothly.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
