Hi:

If you are trying to make the recovery drive on another PC...

...And if you are entering the product number (18B35AV#ABA) you posted, that covers several specific models in the 17-by4xxx model series as you can see from the link below.

HP PartSurfer

You have to enter the specific product number for the actual model notebook you have.

You can find the product number in your notebook's BIOS system information screen, or you can use this guide to find it.

If you are running the tool from your PC and it is reporting that your notebook is not supported, then it is possible that HP has not uploaded the recovery image for your notebook in the cloud recovery database because it is fairly new, or it may not be supported.

I had to wait a few months after I got my notebook until HP got around to uploading a recovery image for it to the cloud.

However, there are a handful of HP PC's that should have been supported by the cloud recovery tool and for whatever reason, they are not.

No PC's with FreeDOS are supported, only Windows.

If you need to reinstall Windows, you can always reinstall it for free by using the Microsoft media creation tool for W10 or W11 as applicable and then install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.
