Hi, Mike:

Yes, with an Intel 8th gen core processor, the PC meets the W11 processor requirements in order to do an in-place upgrade.

Have you tried clicking on the W11 Installation Assistant button (1st option) at the link below to start the in-place upgrade to W11?

If not, you may want to give that a go.

Download Windows 11

Update I have remastered the laptop 3 more times and was offered an update to win 11, the first attempt froze at 11%.  Then tried again.  Success now have win 11 on the laptop.  Hopefully the recovery media I made after the update will be win 11.  Tanks for advice given.

You're very welcome.

Glad you were able to update to W11.

Another update from 22h2 to 24h2, if I add up the time I estimate about 15 hours in total just a final recovery media to to 😎👍🙄

Glad you persevered.
