i loaded the 2004 upgrade ok but could not use it. had to roll back. one problem was system interrupts at 100 percent.. I dont see my machine listed on compatability list. So I have to buy a new machine?? Where can I find out what by bios is and what the latest is? Has anyone else tried to update pavilion k8z00av model 17z-g100. Where do I go from here??
thanks rputil

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues installing the Windows 2004 update.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
Did the update came on the computer automatically or did you manually downloaded and installed it?
In case if you downloaded the update manually then I recommend you wait until you get the update automatically in the Windows updates.
Alternately, you can download and run the Windows update troubleshooter from the below link and it will automatically fix the Windows update issues.

You can download the latest BIOS available for your computer from the below link.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
