Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, the laptop i'm working on was full of virus and OS corruption. I tried system recovery with f11 and it was unable to recover and kept giving errors. so i re-installed windows 10 with a usb key and it won't activate. to my knowledge the windows 10 keys were embedded in some chip on the newer machines but that doesn't seem to be the case. how do i get someone from HP to help me activate this thing?!

You have to go online to be able to activate.  Did you do that?

yes i went online. the problem is it's not getting the DPK or whatever digital license crap is needed these days. but it shipped with windows 10 so i was hoping there was a way to extract from bios or get it from HP support.

No idea what you are talking about.

 

Every single laptop that I have owned that came with Windows 10 always activated.
