Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.
Don't worry! We are in your corner.
I understand that your HP notebook is not working correctly. I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue. The last thing I can suggest try and restore the OS back to the factory default.
The HP Cloud Recovery Tool allows you to download recovery software to a USB drive. You can use the downloaded recovery image file in order to install the Windows operating system.

I do not want to reset my machine. It will be a big hassle to reinstall and set it all up again. Also, If I had genuine windows 10, am I not eligible to upgrade to win 11? If so, why am I getting activation error?

Windows 11 OS updates are pushed through windows update and the computers using windows OS will get the update notification automatically.
Your getting this error due to an OS glitch, reinstalling the Windows OS will correct the issue.

Hello, I tried to reset the computer but it kept getting stuck. I following some articles online to troubleshoot but non helped.
My laptop is not not even booting. I can hear the fan but the screen is blank.
I tried to update the BIOS and it looks like it it completed the process but then when it restarts it is still not booting. Please help.
