Hp Elitebook 840g1

HI. it is difficult for me to choose right windows for my laptop ! my laptop ( Hp elitebook 840 g1 ) Core i5 4200u 1.60Ghz 2.30Ghz ram 12GB . can u please guide me which windows is best suitable for me ! i tried windows 7 but after somedays my windows become laggy without any heavy softwares ! same in case of windows 10 . now can u please help me to figure out which windows and which version of window ( PRO, Home etc) is suitable for my laptop . thanku so much

Laggy laptop is very often an indicator of a failing drive -- and if that is the case, no Windows version is going to work well.

 

Your model PC came with either Windows 7 or Windows 8 preloaded -- so the hardware on it is a bit old to expect Windows 10 drivers to work.  Regardless, HP does not carry Windows 10 drivers for it.


The problem with recommending an OS is that Win7 is no longer supported -- at all!  And Windows 8x only gets security updates, not feature updates.  So basically, these are both obsolete versions -- which means I personally can't recommend either of them.
