Hi, i tried to reboot Windows 10 on my laptop from a USB but the error message "windows setup could not configure windows to run on this computer's hardware" and right after that my laptop shuts down.
Ive read that i need to press "shift" + F10 to pull up the command prompt and type in the command
1. Type: cd c:\windows\system32\oobe
2. Press: Enter
3. Type: msoobe
4. Press: Enter
However, the problem i have is that i do not have time to type these commands as the computer shuts down right after the error message.
Help please.

Hi:
It doesn't sound to me like the notebook is booting from the USB drive.
Did you use the Media creation tool to create the bootable W10 USB installation flash drive?
Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)
If so, see if this works...
Have the installation media in the USB port.
Turn on the PC. Immediately press/tap the ESC key to get the menu of options.
Select the F9 boot options menu and from that, select the USB flash drive and press the Enter key.
The PC should boot from the flash drive and you should get to the Install Now screen.

Hi @Paul_tikkkanen,
Thank you for responding.
Yes, i did boot from the USB after using the Media creation tool to create the bootable W10 USB installation flash drive
However, the same problem occurs. It displays the error message "windows setup could not configure windows to run on this computer's hardware"
and right after that my pc shuts down 😞

You're very welcome.
Does it immediately do that when you get to the Install Now screen or does it do that when you get to the part that asks 'Where do you want to install Windows'?
Or does it even get that far?
I recommend that you run the hard drive diagnostics test in the BIOS (F2) and see what it reports.
