Welcome to the HP English Community --
------------------------------------------------
- A deception practiced in order to induce another to give up possession of property or surrender a right.
- A piece of trickery; a trick.
- One that defrauds; a cheat.

You did not ask a question --
Indeed, posting the name of a scam site might seem to you sufficient "wordiness" to receive a reaction.
Here 'tis:
If you land on a Not-HP website for any reason at all and regardless of what you think you did, then - Yes, you might have landed on a scam site.
There are thousands of scam sites --
As fast as HP and other legitimate companies go after the scoundrels, they come back.
Vermin.
How does it happen?
One little dot, letter, or space out of place and Poof! You might be trapped!
Scammers vary -- they might try to sell you software you don't need, they might tell you your computer if full of bugs, they might tell you your printer is bad, faulty, or broken. They will certainly tell you that you are in need of their help.
Scammers will lie, cheat, persuade, threaten, cajole, and try to be your best friend.
All scammers need from you is your cooperation, your credit card, and your personal information.
The scam might cost you a couple of hundred dollars or, if you are very cooperative, perhaps thousands.
If you let someone you don't know into your computer, you might have bigger problems than a scalded credit card charge. What? Depending on the scammer, having one march around in your computer and private files can prove disastrous.
Change all your passwords - Notify your bank and your local authorities.
Beware of Fake Sites
The "Real Deal" Printers --
123.hp.com - Printer setup from the HP® Official site
Be very careful when out on the Internet looking for help - one little dot, space, or letter out of place can land you in trouble.
The official HP 123 site is where you can find the appropriate (and free) software and drivers for your printer.
There are many “fake” sites listed (in search engines) for “123” – please make sure you are using the actual “HP” site.
If you are asked for money to correct "issues" on your printer or computer OR if the “help” wants to sell you software, threatens you, or wants access to your computer, you are using a “fake” site. Do not give these people your information!

Important
- HP does not free-post HP Support numbers on the Internet. Not. Not in secret, not in chat, not in pop-ups, and not so a nice technician can call you back, sneak into your computer, and then tell you your computer is full of bugs.
- Be wary of any posted messages in the Community containing phone or email links – these are likely scammers who mean you harm.
- Please do not post any personal information in the Community. We are a public resource.
- Be very careful when out on the Internet looking for help - one little dot, space, or letter out of place can land you in trouble.

What?'
Doing so is an invitation to those who might use the information to trick you with lies and schemes (scammers).
Who?
Bad people troll the Internet looking for ways to obtain your information - don't just hand it out to thieves.
Thanks.
