Hello, I have recently run into an issue with my HP Pavilion laptop. It does not start up for some reason! I have tried almost every method I could find, including sfc scannow, which doesn't even work, and other command prompt fixes. I have tried to reset my laptop while saving the files, but it just said "reverting changes" and it doesn't work. Please, help me save my laptop, as I have quite important files on it.

Hi
Not knowing what access you have...
MAKE CERTAIN the Fast Startup box is empty / clear and reboot.
XCOPY the C:\Users\* area onto a ‘large’ USB stick, via the Command Prompt.
You’ll need to try various drive letters; D:..-..Z: until it’s matched - (could be G:) mine’s S:
C:\>XCOPY C:\Users\* S:\ /e /i /h (then files like those 3 listed below get copied over)
C:\Users\desktop.ini
C:\Users\All Users\agent.1509128044.bdinstall.bin
C:\Users\All Users\HP Deskjet 2540 series\Help\flash\zoom.swf
If in doubt please ask.

Oh, my bad. I have the "blue screen" https://external-content.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fthewindowsclub.thewindowsclubco.netdna-cd...
Basically, I have access to command prompt, and other "reset options". I cannot reset, as it just says reverting changes and then goes back, but yeah I have access to advanced options (https://external-content.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.troubleshootwindows.com%2Fwp-content%...) but not the main windows OS.

Hi
So..... The command prompt would be either X: or C: ?
XCOPY the C:\Users\* area onto a ‘large’ USB stick, via the Command Prompt.
You’ll need to try various drive letters; D:..-..Z: until it’s matched - (could be G:) mine’s S:
C:\>XCOPY C:\Users\* S:\ /e /i /h (then files like those 3 listed below get copied over)
C:\Users\desktop.ini
C:\Users\All Users\agent.1509128044.bdinstall.bin
C:\Users\All Users\HP Deskjet 2540 series\Help\flash\zoom.swf
There will be a lot of data, and it will take a long time, but you say " I have quite important files on it" so that is where I would start.

Hi
You cannot write to a disk in "SUSPEND" mode, which is the Fast Start UP state.
They get mounted READ ONLY, and are difficult to reset the dirty bit on.

Alright, I actually had access to Xcopy, and I saved what I could from C:Users. There was access denied to see directory, and it said "unable to create directory - G:\Files\(username)\AppData\Local\Application Data". So, what now? Appreciate the help so far, thank you.

Hi
If G: is your USB then maybe the files were copied over 'read-only' and want their
C:\WINDOWS\system32>attrib /?
