Hi @EZ2024,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The error code 0xA00F4244 typically indicates that Windows cannot detect a camera, which can be frustrating. Here are some steps you can try to resolve this issue with your HP webcam.
Check Camera Connection
- If you're using an external webcam, ensure it is properly connected to your laptop. Try plugging it into a different USB port.
- If it's a built-in camera, make sure nothing is blocking it.
Restart Your Laptop
- Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve hardware detection issues.
Update or Roll Back Camera Drivers
Update Drivers:
- Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand the Imaging devices section.
- Right-click on your camera and select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
Roll Back Drivers (if the issue started after a driver update):
- In Device Manager, right-click your camera, select Properties.
- Go to the Driver tab and click Roll Back Driver (if the option is available).
Enable Camera in Privacy Settings
- Go to Settings > Privacy > Camera.
- Ensure that Allow apps to access your camera is turned on.
- Check that the specific app you're trying to use has access to the camera.
Run the Windows Troubleshooter
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
- Select Additional troubleshooters.
- Click on Hardware and Devices and run the troubleshooter.
Check BIOS Settings
- Sometimes, the camera might be disabled in the BIOS. To check this:
- Restart your laptop and enter BIOS/UEFI settings (usually by pressing F10, Esc, or Del during boot).
- Look for any camera-related settings and ensure it’s enabled.

I accept solution and appreciate help. The strange thing is that I didn't have these problems before. The drivers are all updated, and sometimes just a reboot works, but after a while the same thing happens, the camera is not detected. Strange. For now it works with a restart, the other solutions have been verified but they are ok. Thanks for help.
