I face this 100% disk usage problem which slows down the laptop a lot. Mostly this issue i guess is when the module installer worker is an active process in the background as if it is downloading an update or something. After the process is done, i can see that orange dot in the taskbar indicating to restart and install updates. The laptop won't return to normal (i.e. not 100% disk usage) unless i restart with install updates.

This is an hp laptop core i5 with Toshiba SATA HDD and 8gb RAM. This laptop takes some time in a normal reboot too. Around 3 years old. Worked superb the first year and facing issue from the last 2 years or so.

Is this how this laptop is suppose to work OR is there any solution to this issue?

I have another laptop lenovo AMD ryzen3 with SSD HDD and there is no such issue. That laptop is lightning fast with quick reboot etc.
