Hey, I have two problems for a long time now that I want to try to fix:

1.

My Laptop spec says my USB-c has display port but it doesn't seem to work

I have tried different cables. when I plugged to my tv I can see the tv recognize something and the HDMI input is not grey, but we moving to that input I get no signal.

This is my model - http://h20195.www2.hp.com/v2/GetDocument.aspx?docname=c05991074&doctype=data%20sheet&doclang=HE_IL&s...

At the bottom at the page under Connectivity, it says DisplayportTM under the usb-c (unless I'm mistaken).

2.

My battery won't charge when plugged in and working. It's been like that for a while now.

I can charge my battery when in sleep mode or turn off,

plugging while turned on will say "plugged in not charging" and while my battery won't be drained, it won't charge as well

Would love some help

@Nirok Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you are unable to connect the display using the USB C type and you are facing issues with battery charging.

Do not worry. I will try to fix the issue.

In that case, I would suggest you perform the port test and check.

1. Power off the PC and make sure that it is completely powered off.

2. Press the power button and the moment you press the power button immediately start tapping F2 key, you should see the system diagnostics screen.

3. Look for the component test, under that all the hardware will be listed, please choose USB C type and initiate the quick test.

Note: If it fails it will generate a 24 digits alphanumeric failure id, please capture that.

If the test passed, please uninstall the USB drivers from the device manager and restart the computer.

For the charging issue, please perform the below steps.

Unplug the charge and use the laptop until the battery drains to 15%.

Turn off the laptop and turn it back on after 30mins.

Reinstalled Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery under device manager:
1) In the search box, type and open “Device Manager”.

2) Expand “Batteries”.

3) Right-click the "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery" that is listed there.

4) Click on “Uninstall”.

5) At the prompt put a check in the box to remove the current driver

6) Shutdown the computer.

7) Remove the battery for minute and then put it back in.

😎 When the computer comes back up it should automatically find the driver.

9) Go to Device Manager.

10) Expand Batteries.

11) Right-click the "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery" that is listed there.

12) Click "Search automatically for updated driver software"

Do the same thing with Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Embedded Controller.

Restart the computer and the issue should be fixed.

Also, please update the BIOS.

Hey, I have followed your instructions to fix the USB C display and it didn't work.

As for the battery issue, I haven't tried because in step 7 you ask to remove the battery, but my model doesn't have a removable battery. how can I proceed?
