Not sure when this happened, been chasing problems for several weeks. problems have come to notice since un-installing Nortons & installing other freeware anti-virus programs

Many thanks Paul, not only did your suggestion work, but it also taught me a heap of useful info about my computer in general & drivers specifically

The missing drivers were all JMicron PCIe MS, SD, SD/MMC & XD Host Controllers. Associated I guess with the card reader.

Probably helps explain why a lot of micro SD & SD cards were showing up as "write protected".

I was pretty sure those were the drivers you needed, but I don't like to waste my time and your time guessing and being wrong.
