Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have a Probook 4730s which has Protectools on it version 5.10.18.  I do not have a fingerprint scanner but I keep getting a biometric notice when I start the machine.  Since I don't have the scanner I want to disable it.  But everything I can find talks about a green check mark to do that but the Security Manager doesn't show any kind of check marks.  I tried installing a newer version but says it can't install because the drive is encrypted.  Again no way to unencrypt drive.  I am frustrated to the point I want to uninstall Protectools but it doesn't show up in installed programs et cetera so I can't uninstall it either. HELP!
