No Signal on my External USB-C Monitor (AOC) New HP, Windows 11 Laptop

 ‎02-05-2022 10:43 AM

Product: HP Laptop PC 15s-Fq2000 (2D120AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I have just one cable for my portable AOC external monitor which is a USB-C cable.  My new laptop cannot detect it.  The AOC logo comes on initially, then a 'no signal' message, then blank.  Why would this be? Something to do with Windows 11? Fine with the old Windows 10 laptop.  Be grateful for any suggestions.

Hi,

I believe the USB-C port on the notebook only supports data

1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate

so it will not have alt DP mode to connect to external  monitor directly

Hope it helps,

David
