Many people are on the same boat with you after Microsoft giving a hit. At this stage we have a mix bag: works and doesn't work when do a CLEAN install of
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp82001-82500/sp82228.exe
You may want to try it OR uninstall 3D Driverguard software to avoid error message and wait for Microsoft and/or HP to work this out.
Regards.

I have a ProBook 4540s, and I've been getting the same error notification ever since I restarted my computer this morning after being todl to do so by HP Support Assistant. I'm not sure whether the version of the Accelerometer referred to in the advisory is the right one for my system. If I try to find the right version I get sent to Softpaq 71714 and not to 83846. And on my Softpaq Download Manager, the 71714 is said to be up to date. But I still get the error message.
