According to the manual, the keyboard backlight is limited to 30 seconds. It should go somewhere to change. It used to be editable in the BIOS, I didn't find it there. I have the latest (updated today) BIOS version.
But somewhere it should be possible. Can you help me?

If your Notebook does not support that options in BIOS, then you cannot increase the keyboard backlight timing

Welcome to HP Community
I have gone through your Post and would like to help
Your BIOS version and screens might vary.
NOTE: If there is not a setting for the backlight timing in the BIOS, this behavior might not be supported on the notebook.
-
Restart the notebook, and then immediately press the F10 repeatedly until the BIOS opens.
-
When the BIOS opens, use the arrow keys to navigate to the Advanced tab.
-
Navigate to Built-in Device Options, and then press Enter.
-
In the Built-in Device Options, select Backlit keyboard timeout.
-
Press the spacebar to open the keyboard backlight settings, and then select the timeout setting you want.
NOTE:
If you select Never, the backlight remains on which could quickly drain the notebook battery power.
Thank you

Hi, thank you for your reply.
I have already read the above instructions from the HP website, in the BIOS the Advanced option is not available for this model (even after the update).
I don't think the timeout is firmly wired in hardware.
Maybe the path would be through editing a registry or something else in the HP software.
